Born and raised in Southern California, Kalinda discovered a love of performing when she was first shown "The Wizard Of Oz" (her mother would catch her in the backyard reenacting scenes as every character) and when she first listened to the music of Tchaikovsky's "Sleeping Beauty" ballet (but quickly learned she wasn't meant to be a ballerina after twirling, falling, and hitting her head on the side of the living room coffee table - a scar she proudly holds to this day).
Kalinda’s credits include over 400 theatrical productions on Southern California's respected stages. World premiere credits include "King Kong: Eighth Wonder Of The World” (Ann Darrow), “Goodbye, Marilyn" at the Working Stage Theater (Marilyn Monroe), Jon Jory's "Candide" at Sacred Fools Theater (Cunegonde/Woman #1), "The Hobbit" (Storyteller/Galadriel), "The Don Juan Project" (Elvira), "Variete Risque" at SCR (Lili White), “American Ant Hotel” at the BLANK, “Big Shot” at the Complex, and “High Maintenance” at The ROAD Theatre Company under the direction of television writer Stan Zimmerman (Gilmore Girls, Golden Girls, Roseanne, etc.), and the productions of "Hamlet Has No Legs" and "Frankenstein No Legs" as a lead puppeteer with the infamous All Puppet Players troupe, of which Kalinda is a founding member.
In addition to originating and playing characters for Universal Studios Hollywood's entertainment division, her regional theatrical premiere credits include "Reefer Madness" (Mary Lane), "The Producers" (Ulla), "Return To The Forbidden Planet (Miranda), “Right Before I Go” (a suicide awareness piece currently in the process of being sponsored for high schools), "Treasure Island" (Anne Bonney), and the west coast regional premiere of "Avenue Q" (Kate Monster - Best Actress winner via Broadway World). Kalinda also played the role of Sally Bowles for the multi-award winning Los Angeles run of "Cabaret" at the MET Theater, directed by Judy Norton Taylor, the role of Eva Peron in “Evita” under the direction of original Broadway cast member Marie Ramm, and was a featured performer and singer at the Hollywood Bowl (playing Marilyn Monroe, opening for ABBA In Concert) and at Segerstrom Hall with the legendary Bernadette Peters and Men Alive for their production of "New York City Rhythm".
In 2012, Kalinda decided to throw her love of impersonations, fairytales, playing multiple characters, puppetry, working with children, and event-planning into a new adventure called "Wishing Well Entertainment and Parties". To date, the company is the highest-rated company of its kind in Southern California and has planned over 7000 events. Featuring the largest collection of characters to choose from for parties, media events, business functions, and other occasions - the company is now extensively sought after by the entertainment industry and celebrities (including Beyonce, Christina Applegate, Jessica Simpson, Eddie Murphy, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Nickelodeon, and many more), high-end events, and families planning their next soiree.
After studying with Cliff Osmond (beloved mentor, character actor, and screenwriter - and a longtime fixture of Billy Wilder's films and of the Broadway stage), she was cast as lead Diane Tate in "BXX: Haunted", a new interactive multimedia project by Daniel Knauf (creator of HBO's "Carnivale", writer for "Dracula" and "Blacklist" for NBC) and has continued to work in film, music videos, and television in addition to her stage and live event work. Select credits include The Battle of Hogwarts series (Luna Lovegood and Rita Skeeter), Smashed Potatoes (Disney/Youtube), Green Eggs and Ham (puppeteer for Netflix series promos), Nobody Wants To Be Just Ordinary (Amazon Prime), Gentefied (Netflix), The Clapper (w/ Ed Helms and Tracy Morgan), Wild West Chronicles (INSP TV), and the upcoming feature “Project Child: Perfect Knight”. She was also the spokeswoman for Nutrisense, and has done extensive commercials for video games, streaming channel promos, Jack In The Box (as Marilyn Monroe!), and many more.
When not performing, Kalinda is an avid history buff and photographer and also spends time researching and writing in New England (specializing in the Salem Witch Trials, Kalinda is a sought-after speaker for high schools studying “The Crucible” and is available for Zoom and in-person lectures), and traveling to unique locations and events around the world. She is currently represented by Robertson and Taylor Agency.
